Hometown Roots and Joining Douglas

Originally from the Moody-Leeds area, Pamela found her way to Douglas five years ago. Interestingly, she didn’t apply—Douglas found her! “They found me on ZipRecruiter. I had been commuting 45 minutes, but this job cut that down to just 15 minutes. It made a lot of sense.”

Favorite Part of the Job

For Pamela, it’s all about the people. “Meeting people, interviewing, and interacting with the team, both in the plant and the office, is what I enjoy most. It’s a real family atmosphere here, and that makes everything easier.”

Pamela’s Advice for New Team Members

When bringing someone new on board, Pamela has simple advice: “Just be yourself. We’re family around here, no pretenses. We’re looking for team players—people with positive attitudes who don’t need to be prompted and can jump right in.”

Life Outside of Work

Outside of the office, Pamela enjoys reading crime novels and listening to true crime podcasts. But her greatest joy? Spending time with her grandchildren. “Friday nights are our special time. They spend the night, and we do something fun—whether it’s going to the movies or the park.”
