Employee Spotlight: Alberto Chamorro

At Douglas Manufacturing, our team is the heart of everything we do. Each member brings unique skills, experiences, and perspectives that help us thrive. This month, we’re excited to highlight Alberto Chamorro, who has been a key part of the Douglas family for nearly 12 years.

The Journey to Douglas

Alberto’s path to manufacturing began straight out of college. Originally from Mendoza, Argentina, he brought his engineering expertise and passion for problem-solving to Douglas Manufacturing in 2012. Since then, he’s grown into a multifaceted role that spans engineering, customer service, and international sales.

“I handle engineering locally and internationally, customer service, and sales,” Alberto shared. “It’s a lot, but I enjoy the variety in my work.”

A Specialist in Magnetic Solutions

While Alberto works across all of Douglas Manufacturing’s products, his primary focus is on magnetic solutions. His role allows him to interact with a wide range of customers, both domestically and abroad, and he enjoys the unique personalities and challenges that come with each interaction.

“Dealing with people is my favorite part of the job,” he said. “I get to meet so many different personalities, and that keeps things interesting and rewarding.”

Advice for New Team Members

As someone who’s spent over a decade at Douglas, Alberto knows a thing or two about what it takes to succeed here. His advice for new employees is simple but invaluable:

“If you have a question, ask. There are no bad questions, and we’re all here to help each other. It’s like a family here—we support one another.”

He also emphasized the importance of being genuine: “Just be who you are. Honesty and authenticity go a long way in building strong relationships.”

Life Outside of Work

When Alberto isn’t busy engineering solutions or working with customers, you’ll likely find him on the soccer field or cheering on his favorite teams. A lifelong soccer fan, Alberto supports Argentina’s national team and Atlanta United.

“Soccer has always been a big part of my life,” he said. “I can’t play as much now, but I still love watching and supporting my teams.”
