Amy joined Douglas Manufacturing in 1996 after a friend recommended the company to her. What started as a job in her twenties has turned into a long-term career, and Amy has been an integral part of our customer service and sales team ever since.

Building Relationships That Last

For Amy, the best part of her job is the family-like atmosphere she shares with her coworkers and customers. “A lot of my customers have been with us for over 20 years. I recognize their voices when they call—it’s fulfilling to help them,” she says. Her commitment to fostering long-term relationships is just one of the many reasons we’re grateful to have her on our team.

Advice for New Employees: Be Teachable and Kind

Amy’s advice to anyone starting at Douglas Manufacturing? “Stay teachable and ask questions,” she says. She believes in learning how things are done to keep the workflow smooth and encourages kindness and conscientiousness in the workplace. “We’d rather help someone get it right the first time than have to fix mistakes later.”

Life Beyond Work: A Passion for Baking

When she’s not at Douglas Manufacturing, Amy enjoys helping her mom with her wedding business by baking and decorating beautiful cakes. Her passion for creativity shines through in her intricate fondant designs, showing that her attention to detail extends far beyond the office.
