Mechanical Engineer
Department: Engineering & Manufacturing
Reports To: Chief Engineer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: On-site (manufacturing environment)
Travel: Occasional (domestic; international may be required)
Position Summary
Join our engineering team and help build the products that keep bulk material moving. As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ideas from concept to production—designing components and assemblies, supporting application and quoting, and partnering with manufacturing to turn solid engineering into reliable, high-quality product on the floor. This role offers hands-on involvement in new product development, continuous improvement, and D365 data accuracy (BOMs/routings/cost inputs) that directly impacts execution, margins, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering, Design, and Product Support
- Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks preferred), including detailed manufacturing prints and revisions.
- Support new product development, R&D efforts, and engineering changes for existing products.
- Provide product selection and application support to internal teams and customers; assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Work with Production leadership to ensure shop teams have current drawings, specifications, and documentation needed to build orders correctly.
Costing, Quoting, and ERP Data Integrity
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production routes within Microsoft AX & Dynamics 365 (AX/D365).
- Conduct and evaluate time studies to establish and improve labor standards and routing accuracy.
- Support estimating inputs for costs and selling price development (materials, labor, routing assumptions, etc.).
- Use analytical tools (Excel and related systems) to evaluate product cost drivers and recommend improvements.
Manufacturing and Process Support
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality to improve product build consistency and address quality concerns.
- Program CNC equipment as required, including G-code programming, to support internal manufacturing needs.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives and support other technical assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred; will consider equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and strong working knowledge of standard engineering documentation.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working in ERP systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating and maintaining BOMs and routings in Microsoft AX & Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP).
- Experience performing time studies and translating results into routings/standards.
- CNC programming experience (including G-code) and familiarity with machining/manufacturing processes.
- Conveyor components or industrial product experience (application engineering exposure is a plus).
Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, temperature extremes (non-weather), outdoor weather conditions, and moderate noise levels.
Welder Assembler Idler Department
Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Supervisor Idler Department

Summary
Responsible for assembling and welding of idlers. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting
equipment is required. Must currently possess or be able to attain AWS required welding certification within
the first 6 months of employment. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and
delivery of a quality product.

- Extensive use of welders and machinery associated with the assigned job task.

- Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
- Lift 75 pounds.
- Stand continuously for an 8 hour shift with overtime as required by company.
- Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.

- Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high
precarious places, and extreme heat and cold. The employee must stand for long periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The Material Handler is responsible for operating forklifts, stackers, and overhead cranes to transport materials,
load machines, and support production operations. This role includes performing cycle counts, backfilling for
machine operators, assembly, and painting as needed. The ideal candidate must possess excellent forklift
driving skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to meet each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Background checks and drug/alcohol screening will be conducted as a condition of employment and
continued employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
