Manual Machinist

Job Summary

Responsible for operating and maintaining machining equipment as required. This includes loading and unloading of machines, operating the machines, cleaning and maintaining the machines as directed. Machines included are lathes, end mills and other types of equipment required to perform this job. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and a quality product and helping to ensure a clean, orderly and safe work area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extensive use of equipment and machinery associated with the assigned job task.
  • Establish good communications and working rapport with supervisors, engineers and manufacturing personnel to insure a high level of customer service is delivered.
  • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
  • Read a tape measure and understand engineered drawings.
  • Read micrometers and other measuring devices as required.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift with overtime as required by company.
  • Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.

Mill & Saw Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for operating and maintaining Saw as required. This includes loading and unloading of machines, making minor programming and set-up adjustments as directed by the supervisor, cleaning and maintaining the machines as directed. Summary

Responsible for fitting and welding of idlers. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting equipment is required. Must be able to read, understand, and build from engineered prints/drawings. Must currently possess or be able to attain AWS-required welding certification within the first 6 months of employment. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and delivery of a quality product.

Mechanical Engineer

Summary

Responsible for engineering and pricing duties relating to Douglas products and conveyor systems and for assisting sales force and customers with product selection, application assistance and problem resolution. Estimating costs and selling prices and designing/detailing new products, proposed products and projects. Assisting Production and Purchasing to ensure products are built timely, correctly, and with quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
  • Work with Plant Manager and Production Manager to make sure the production team has the drawings needed to manufacture and complete orders.
  • Fill in for Production Manager in provide burn maps for the burn table, using ESAB’s Columbus nesting software. Some parts may not be saved already and will need to be drawn up and saved using the Draftsight software.
  • Apply verbal and written communication skills to internal and external customers.
  • Strong Oral and written communication skills.

Regional Sales Manager

Summary

We are seeking a regional sales manager to lead and grow our sales in the Mid-Southern part of the United States: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana. You will be responsible for setting and achieving sales goals, developing and executing sales plans, working with Manufacturers’ Representative, and calling on Distributors, OEMs, and end users.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in sales management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the market and customer needs. You must live in the territory, and you should also be able to travel frequently in the assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with the company’s objectives and vision
  • Support, coach, and motivate manufacturer representatives to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
  • Evaluate and monitor the territory’s performance and provide feedback and a plan of action.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, and identify opportunities and challenges for sales growth
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and accounts, and ensure their satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate with other regional sales managers and management to share best practices, insights, and ideas
  • Manage the sales budget and expenses for the region, and ensure compliance with the company’s policies and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a regional sales manager, area manager, or similar sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve sales goals, and to develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans

Component Specialist/General Labor (3 Positions Available)

Summary

Responsible for preparing products for shipment, completing final assembly of products and painting packaging of products. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and a quality product.

      • A high level of attention to detail is essential.
      • Write programs in M and G code for the CNC equipment.
      • Experience with Fanuc Controls.
      • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
      • Ability to read blueprint/drawing, write and edit CNC programs and trouble shoot CNC problems.
      • Make program adjustments and alter set-up on CNC equipment.
      • Set-up and operate CNC lathes, and mills.
      • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
      • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
      • Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.

        Job Summary

        Responsible for the promotion and sale of all Douglas products within the assigned territory. Responsible for taking customer information, entering quotes, processing orders and completing necessary documentation for shipments. Will assist in the development of Distributors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (O.E.M), Engineering/Consultants and End-Users.

        Essential Duties and Responsibilities

        Must be able to professionally represent company products and develop customer relationships on a daily basis over the phone. Must be able to operate computers, enter quotes on a computer, convert orders and process all required paperwork to help ensure a smooth and trouble-free quote to order process for the customer.  

        • Responsibilities relative to each assigned customer account include sales growth and quotation follow-up.
